Export and present work in pages, not the content of the whole tab.
Exporting
Open Export as usual (see Exporting a Tab). A tab offers the formats that suit pages: PDF, PNG and SVG, plus JSON to keep a copy of the tab. A tab with a logo page also offers the Logo Kit (see Logo Pages), and a tab with a photo page the Photo card, for PNG, JPEG, WebP or a layered PSD (see Photo Pages).
Pick a format and choose All pages or One page above the preview:
- PDF starts on All pages: one PDF with every page in order, each at its own size and orientation. An A4 page comes out at print size, a true A4 page. With One page you get a one-page PDF of the page you pick.
- PNG and SVG start on One page, the first by default, and you get that page's image. With All pages you get a .zip holding one image per page, numbered in page order (
01 Page 1 - 1024 x 1024 - Logo.png, ...).
A line under the choice says what the download will be ("3 pages, one PDF.", "A .zip of 3 PNG files, one per page.").
The file is named after the design and tab, plus the page's label when you export one page. With All pages, the page list picks which page the preview shows.
Each page exports exactly its sheet: its size, its background and pattern, and what is on it, cut off at its edges just as the canvas shows it. The space around the pages is never included. The plain paper exports white, except on a logo page, whose PNG and SVG leave it transparent. The preview shows the page you picked.
The Isometric view and Background pattern switches are not offered for pages: a page is its own background, and it is never tilted.
Importing
Import takes JSON only: a livedesign tab, pages and all.
Turning Pages Into Slides
Pages are often presented, so their deck is one press away: in the bottom-right corner, the Slides button opens the Slide Deck panel just above it.
Every page is already in the deck, in page order, from the moment you make it: move a page and its slide moves with it, and drag a slide in the Slide Deck panel and its page moves to match. A page slide is the page itself:
- It shows whatever is on the page now, so it follows your edits, a new layout, a resize or a reorder without you touching the deck.
- It is framed to exactly the page.
- Its row reads the tab and the page ("Tab 1 · Page 2 · iPhone · Wireframe"), and its thumbnail is the page on its background.
- A page's own slide can be hidden but not deleted: hide it to keep it out of the talk. Delete the page and its slides leave the deck too; undo the delete and they come back as they were, notes and all.
- To show a page twice, pick it from the list and press Add as slide. That copy can be deleted like any slide. (Adding slides is for Editors: a Viewer or Participant can't.)
Name page slides, add notes, hide or reorder them as in Building a Deck.
The Deck Button
Each page's title bar holds its deck button, Hide in Slides (an open eye): press it to keep the page in the deck but skip it when presenting. The eye is then crossed, and Show in Slides brings it back. It is the same switch as the slide's visibility in the Slide Deck panel.
Beside it is Add Notes. Press it to write your speaker notes for that page's slide: they are the same notes the Slide Deck panel shows, and you see them in the presenter view, never on the page itself. Once a slide has notes the button reads Notes. The deck button and Add Notes are for Editors on a computer: Viewers and Participants see the pages without them, and they are not shown on a phone.
Presenting
Press Present and each page fills the screen on its own: no labels, cogs or buttons around it, and none of its neighbouring pages beside it. A page the shape of the screen fills it exactly; any other shape sits between black bars, as a projector shows it. Everything else about presenting is as for any deck; see Presenting.
